We meet up with Christien Arctander who works with photography and did the amazing photoshoots of our T-Shirts. Here is what we got.

Why do you make take pictures – What is it that draws you?
My whole life I’ve been a very visual person. I guess I take in most stimuli through my sight. For example, I remember what people were wearing the first day of school, years back. Sometimes people think I’m a bit stalky. I’m not… Also, I’m a big fan of beauty, and in so many ways. I think photography is an excellent way of expressing this.

What projects are you currently working on?
My latest project was photographing the wain t-shirts. I invited some delicious looking friends over and we had a good time shooting the photos. I’ve also benne making a few album artworks. You should check out Frk. Fryd’s new EP “salt I såret”.
What is your main inspirations?
I’m a big fan of the concept more is more. For me glitter is always good. I’m also inspired by artwork that is a bit disturbing, and makes you think. Although the overwhelming is my inspiration, I do like watching other styles.

What are your favorite photographs and photographers?
The Icelandic fashion photographer Saga Sig is my absolute favorite! She manages the concept more is more with heavy make-up and overwhelming settings.
Which artists are on your radar right now and why?
I’ve recently had an obsession with collage artwork. Larry Carlson is a genius with his psychedelic collages and films.

Any particular art/books/series/movies you want to recommend?
I am fully aware of that it’s not very artsy of me, but I don’t read books. I don’t like my voice, even if it’s my inner one speaking. Last fall/winter I lived in Copenhagen with a good friend of mine. Every night we watched true blood. I was very skeptical at first, because I really couldn’t stand the vampire trend that was going on at the time. But true blood was so brutal and the disturbing, that it became my ultimate favorite. Apart from Swedish hotties and blood, I’m a big fan of British humor: An idiot abroad, the office.. I don’t watch a lot of movies, mostly because they usually end up being American romantic comedies. Barf. However I do like these: the cave, the happening, pulp fiction, paris texas, bridesmaids

Aside from making photography, are there other things you’d like to do in your career?
Right now, I’m waiting for answers from different architecture schools. I’ve replied in Copenhagen, oslo and Trondheim. I like the idea of creating beautiful and different living spaces that in the same time are functionally and environment friendly. And the opportunity of building climbing walls and slides in people’s living rooms.
What’s the last art exhibition/event you went to see that you really enjoyed?
The latest exhibition I saw was in Stavanger.”The good life” by Anette Moi were these funny but very true illustrations in bright colours.

Top 3 favorite places in Copenhagen?
I love to run in Christianshavn by “vollene”. And walk when I’m to tired for running. Klosterstrædet have some really nice shops, and I love the thought of walking around there alone, just observing. And simons…. Heheh. I love the idea of a nightclub turning into a playground.
Where are you going for your next holiday?
I’m actually going to Roskilde festival! Help me….
What is you favorite candy?
Duh! Everything. But my absolute favorite is “kick” licorice candy, the yellow one.
